Update from Paul Lambert

Dear church family.

I wanted to give you all an update on what will be happening for us all as a family over the coming few months. For the past few years, I have been training to be a Church of England minister. This has been based both at St James by the Park, and studying at Trinity College Bristol. I am now coming towards the end of studying (I only have two assignments left, although these are rather big ones!), and I hope to finish at the end of May. But what comes next? Well, if I pass and everything else goes OK (DBS checks, etc) then I will be moving to St Denys church as a curate. This means that Jen and I will be leaving St James at the end of June. Our final service will be on 22nd June, which I expect will be emotional for us both, as we have loved being part of this beautiful church family and will miss you all. The following week, I will be getting ordained in Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 29th, at 10 am, and anyone who would like to come along is welcome. At the moment, JJ and Emma are going to be staying with the youth group at St James.

So, please pray for us over the coming few months. Some prayer points are:

-            For my studies as I come to an end, I can get the final ones completed well and learn what would be helpful for me to learn.

-            For us all as a family as we prepare to move house across the city.

-            For us all as we adjust to living in a new house and this next season of our lives.

-            To be able to see what God is doing at St Denys, and what we should get involved in.

-            For building new friendships with the congregation at St Denys.
