Sundays For Young People

Teenage years are important years for discovering the world and questioning faith. We’re keen to help young people in Shirley understand who Jesus is and what role he wants to have in their lives.

Youth events on Sundays

Elevate

Runs on the 1st Sunday evening of the month during term-time from 7pm. It is led by our young people – and everyone is welcome to come. The time is spent worshipping God, playing an online quiz, looking at the Bible and responding to God’s word.

IGNITE

Runs on the 2nd and 4th Sunday mornings during the main service during term-time for years 6-8, looking at the Bible and what it means for our lives, with games and food. We meet in the Parish Hall.

Midweek activities

Connect runs on Tuesday evenings during term time, 7.30-9pm for years 9-13. It meets at St James' by the Park for games, Bible study, prayer nights and socials. For further information, please contact Josh Cook.

Torch runs fortnightly on Wednesday evenings for those in years 6-8. We meet in a local home for food, games and to go a bit deeper into the Bible. Contact Josh for more details and check the calendar for dates.
